At Edison Next, we continue working to lead the energy transition and, in doing so, bring efficiency to every corner of Spain. To achieve this, we collaborate with local administrations to supervise and optimize their lighting, helping them achieve more efficient management and enabling them to become more sustainable.

In this context, our company has been awarded a new tender in the Catalan town of Calaf. Through this agreement, which aligns with the town council's strategy for sustainable local development, Edison Next will renovate and improve its outdoor public lighting. To this end, Edison Next will be responsible for supplying state-of-the-art luminaires and installing them in the old town area.

The project, with an execution period of 7 months, has a budget of €362,828, reducing the initial base budget of €394,550 that the Calaf town council had planned for these improvements by more than €30,000. Furthermore, as this initiative falls within the European Union's Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, it will be financed by the European Union's Next Generation funds.

This contract demonstrates the commitment of Spanish municipalities to reducing their CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and moving towards an increasingly environmentally responsible future. At Edison Next, we join this commitment, accompanying our clients on the path of the energy transition so they can achieve the sustainability and efficiency goals they set for themselves.

At Edison Next, we are convinced that initiatives like this are what bring us, day by day, closer to a more sustainable, efficient, and, above all, responsible future. And that, for this reason, more and more Spanish and European towns will implement them, also motivated by the numerous advantages in long-term savings and improved lighting quality.
