Edison Next is accelerating the number of energy efficiency projects in the public and private sectors, especially in recent months and in the province of Malaga, where 4 new initiatives have been carried out or are being finalized. These projects will generate significant savings for the city councils that promote them. All of them are aimed at achieving the dual quality of maximum lighting quality for citizens and lower energy consumption.

The first of the projects has already been launched in Nerja, with the installation of LED luminaires for the partial renovation of the municipality's outdoor lighting, the replacement of 1,921 luminaires, and the adaptation to LED technology, which represents savings of over 70% compared to current consumption. The project is part of the sustainable and integrated urban development strategy (EDUSI) of the Malaga town and was completed in just 6 months.

In Vélez Málaga, a small municipal project for the lighting of a children's park has also just been delivered, with the installation of 7 6-meter columns and 8 53W luminaires.

Meanwhile, in Carratraca, also in collaboration with the city council, 136 retrofits, LED plates adapted to the lampposts, have been replaced, going from 125W mercury to 55W for the new light points, which provides savings of over 60% in energy and economic consumption for the municipal coffers and its citizens.

Finally, with the property community of Polg. Ind. El Viso (Malaga), work has begun to integrate 162 48W LED luminaires (formerly 150W HPSV) and 3 new lighting panels, which will result in savings of more than 75% of current consumption.

Many of these initiatives allow for the subsequent implementation of value-added systems, which further improve the efficiency ratio and actively contribute to the sustainability of towns and cities.
