Edison Next supports the mission of the Little Wish Foundation with the donation of its Christmas baskets
The Little Wish Foundation, whose mission is to make hospital stays for children with chronic or poor prognosis diseases more bearable, has received a donation of Christmas baskets from Edison Next, a specialist in Energy Efficiency and Photovoltaic self-consumption for the industrial sector.
Specifically, the energy company has donated the amount of 17 Christmas baskets given directly by the employees who have decided to join the cause during this month of December. A solidarity action that has been promoted by the Department of People and Talent and is part of the corporate social responsibility plans that are being promoted by Edison Next.
“The little ones are the stars in the Christmas period. With this action, we want to contribute our grain of sand to strengthen the illusion of children who suffer from illnesses during this Christmas”, explained Juan Manuel García, Director of People and Talent at Edison Next.
The Little Wish Foundation, beneficiary of this charitable action, is dedicated to making the dreams of children with chronic illnesses or poor prognosis come true in order to support them mentally during their treatment and make their illness more bearable.
And, as they explain from the entity: “when a child suffers from an illness, he is more vulnerable physically and emotionally”. At this point, scientifically supported studies have shown that the fulfillment of a wish generates positive emotions in the child that have a real effect on their well-being and physical improvement.
To this end, and out of concern for the humanization of hospitals, the Little Wish Foundation organizes activities in hospitals to make their stay more enjoyable: decoration of Hospital Classrooms, workshops with children, outings, support for other organizations, visits to children, visits of characters in hospitals, among others.
A donation with which Edison Next highlights its commitment to society, as well as to the fulfillment of its global objectives of corporate social responsibility, prioritizing those local initiatives and those that arise from the human team that makes up the company.
