Edison Next drives a new energy efficiency project at a sports center in Rivas Vaciamadrid.
The Rivas Vaciamadrid City Council has once again trusted us to improve the energy efficiency of various municipal buildings in the city. In this case, we have been awarded the mixed contract for energy management, comprehensive maintenance with full guarantee, and energy efficiency improvement of the locker room building at the athletics track of the Cerro del Telégrafo municipal sports center.
With a budget of 840,000 euros and a contract term of 15 years, this project will optimize the energy consumption of a high-demand facility frequently used by athletes, clubs, and citizens. The goal of this project is to ensure more efficient and sustainable operation of its infrastructure, reinforcing the municipal commitment to ecological transition and economic efficiency.
Our proposal for the Cerro del Telégrafo sports center combines technology, sustainability, and digitalization to maximize energy efficiency and athlete comfort. The project includes the renovation and decarbonization of the HVAC system through the implementation of heat pumps, the installation of a BMS (Building Management System) that will allow real-time monitoring and optimization of facility operations, the replacement of lighting with LED technology, and the incorporation of photovoltaic panels to generate renewable energy and reduce emissions associated with electricity consumption.
Through this approach, the center will become a benchmark in energy management for municipal sports buildings. This working model, based on an energy services contract, offers local administrations hassle-free management with continuous and transparent service that facilitates budget planning and extends the useful life of equipment.
This project adds to other initiatives we have already developed in the municipality, all aimed at promoting a more efficient, sustainable, and digitalized energy model. Our collaboration with the Rivas Vaciamadrid City Council reinforces the shared commitment to moving towards a city that is more environmentally responsible, modern, and prepared for the energy challenges of the future.
At Edison Next, we accompany public administrations in their transformation process, helping them reduce their carbon footprint and optimize the consumption of their facilities.
Projects like this demonstrate that innovation and sustainability go hand in hand when it comes to modernizing public infrastructure and improving it for citizens.
