Edison Next boosts the energy efficiency of public lighting in s’Illot and Sa Coma.

At Edison Next we continue to advance our commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions that help modernize and improve the municipalities of our country. As a result of this work, we have recently been awarded a new project promoted by the Sant Llorenç des Cardassar City Council for the renovation of public lighting in the towns of s’Illot and Sa Coma.  The action involves the comprehensive replacement of a large number of luminaires and poles that are currently in poor condition. In addition, we will take advantage of this replacement to incorporate new solutions that are technologically more efficient and adapted to the current needs of these urban centers.  This type of intervention, in addition to allowing us to offer a notable improvement in the quality of lighting, in many cases represents the decisive step towards a more efficient, sustainable urban energy management model aligned with European objectives in terms of energy transition.  Thanks to this, the project falls within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union through the Next Generation EU funds, which will allow the town to benefit from funding designed precisely to promote the modernization of public infrastructure and enable municipalities to move towards more resilient and sustainable models.  With an execution period of three months, this action will allow the renovation of the public lighting system by installing state-of-the-art luminaires, presumably based on LED technology, which stand out for their lower energy consumption, longer useful life and ability to offer more uniform and higher quality lighting. At the same time, at Edison Next we have committed to ensuring that the dismantling and removal of existing equipment will always be carried out respecting proper waste management, in line with the principles of sustainability and circular economy that we defend in our company.  Beyond energy savings, this type of project has a direct impact on improving the urban environment. More modern lighting helps reinforce safety, improve the citizen experience, and enhance public spaces, especially in areas with significant tourist activity such as s’Illot and Sa Coma.  At Edison Next, we approach this type of action with a comprehensive approach that combines technical capacity, knowledge of the regulatory environment, and a clear focus on results. Our objective is not only to replace infrastructure, but also to optimize its performance, reduce its environmental impact, and support public administrations on their path towards more efficient energy management.  This new project reinforces our role as a strategic partner in the development of intelligent public lighting solutions, contributing to the transformation of the municipalities and cities of our country towards more sustainable, efficient models prepared for the energy challenges of the future.
