Edison Next at the forefront of energy savings with 237 GWh saved
Energy savings have become a global priority in the fight against climate change, and at Edison Next we are at the forefront of this challenge. With a clear vision of sustainability and efficiency, we work to help companies and institutions reduce their energy consumption while optimizing their profitability. To date, we have achieved significant milestones in terms of energy savings, reaching a total savings of 158 GWh of electricity and 79 GWh of thermal energy. These figures translate into a reduction of approximately 62,000 tons of CO2 due to energy efficiency projects, reinforcing the positive environmental impact of our projects. Additionally, Edison Next carries out other projects focused on renewable energies, increasing the total avoided emissions to date to 152,925 tons of CO2.
Our approach covers both the industrial and public sectors, with initiatives ranging from improving energy efficiency in large industrial complexes to lighting and HVAC projects in public buildings. In key sectors such as automotive, healthcare, and paper, we have implemented customized solutions that have allowed our clients not only to reduce their energy consumption but also to improve their competitiveness by optimizing their production processes.
In the healthcare sector, for example, we have developed energy efficiency projects that not only reduce energy consumption but also optimize user comfort. In a recent project, the implementation of a Building Management System (BMS) in a hospital has generated significant energy savings and improved operational efficiency, all while ensuring a healthier and more comfortable environment for patients and staff. These types of solutions demonstrate our commitment to sustainability and efficiency in different sectors such as healthcare.
On the other hand, the public sector has also benefited from our solutions, with projects that have improved energy efficiency in public buildings, more efficient public lighting systems, renewable energies, and other essential elements of urban infrastructure. These initiatives have not only reduced energy consumption and CO2 emissions but are also improving the well-being of citizens, contributing to a more sustainable and livable environment.
The key to our success lies in our ability to design and implement energy efficiency projects that address the specific needs of each client. Thanks to our experience in technologies such as cogeneration, photovoltaic systems, and advanced energy management solutions, we have demonstrated that it is possible to improve sustainability without compromising profitability.
