Edison Next and Axpo strengthen the Energy Savings Certificate market in Spain.

The two companies have already closed their first CAE purchase and sale transaction, which can be used by Axpo to meet its 2024 energy savings obligations. In this operation, Edison Next has fully managed the certificates, from identifying projects that generate energy savings to their issuance, including verification before the competent authorities. This detailed and rigorous work required several months of effort, given the complexity of the process and the novelty of this market. Both companies highlight the value of this collaboration, not only for the transaction itself but also for the boost it represents in lending credibility and transparency to the CAE system.
