Edison Next participates in Net Zero Tech to drive decarbonization.
This week, Edison Next was present at Net Zero Tech, the decarbonization fair focused on energy efficiency, electrification with renewable energy, and hydrogen. The event, held on June 5 and 6 at the Farga de L’Hospitalet de Llobregat facilities in Barcelona, brought together professionals from various sectors seeking innovative solutions to achieve climate neutrality.
Net Zero Tech has established itself as an essential forum for professionals in sectors such as industry, energy generation, construction, transportation, waste, tourism, and agriculture. In a global context where emission reduction is crucial, technological solutions are advancing rapidly, and this fair provides an essential platform to explore and discuss them.
Over the two days of the event, vital topics were addressed, including CO2 capture and reuse, emissions trading systems, hydrogen and biogas, circular economy, electrification, energy storage, decentralization of energy consumption, and digitalization solutions.
Edison Next, in collaboration with ANESE (National Association of Energy Service Companies), was located at booth B3, where it welcomed numerous businesspeople and institutional representatives interested in learning about our solutions. The fair was a perfect opportunity to showcase and highlight our proposals in decarbonization, energy efficiency, self-consumption with renewable energy, sustainable mobility, and circular economy.
In parallel, our colleague Giulia Realmonte, Head of e-Mobility & White Certificates at Edison Next, actively participated in the roundtable titled “CAEs: Analysis of the Secondary Market.” This session, held on Wednesday from 4:20 PM to 5:00 PM in the IMQ Room, focused on the secondary market for Energy Savings Certificates (CAEs).
During this panel discussion, Giulia Realmonte emphasized the importance of the Energy Savings Certificates (CAEs) system and Edison Next’s prominent role within it. As a Delegated Entity, Edison Next plays a strategic role by acting as an intermediary between companies implementing energy efficiency measures and the authorities responsible for the final monetization of CAEs. Thanks to our role, we are successfully energizing the system by offering specialized assistance to companies in obtaining and managing certificates, thereby facilitating their participation in the system and promoting greater adoption of sustainable practices.
Furthermore, Edison Next offers a wide range of services, from identifying energy savings opportunities to validating and managing certificates, ensuring transparency and efficiency in CAE administration.
Our participation in Net Zero Tech has been a testament to our commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability, as well as an unparalleled opportunity to share knowledge, establish strategic connections, and contribute to advancing toward a more sustainable future.
