20th anniversary of our alliance with IVECO

At EDF Fenice we are celebrating, as it marks 20 years since our company began operations at Iveco Valladolid. Around that same time, the contract was also formalized, expanding the service that had started in 2001 at Iveco Madrid. From those distant days to the present, a period of continuous change has passed, modernizing both the facilities and processes of both companies. A whole transformation witnessed by the fir tree at the factory entrance, which has grown alongside our alliance. A gift from EDF Fenice to Iveco, symbolizing joint growth. The project began with 10 people who were transferred from Iveco, led by Félix Rodríguez, with an initial addition of 5 more. Currently, the project consists of 17 people, who have been shaping the alliance from the start. This is the case for Marcos García, Miguel Ángel Carpintero, and José Merino, who came from Iveco, and Alberto Prieto, Israel Alonso, and Ángel Franco from EDF Fenice. Over these 20 years, we have worn uniforms of all colors, experienced the change of logos and tools, “enjoyed” the shifts from Coningas to SharePoint and later to the beloved ODOO. We have also “survived” the entire transformation of tools up to the implementation of IRIS. And we have lived through a complete metamorphosis at the IVECO factory, which bears no resemblance to the factory where we began this journey in January 2002: the production lines are more ergonomic, automated, modern, and updated… Undoubtedly, the driving force behind the change at Iveco has been its workforce and WCM (World Class Manufacturing), which has turned this Valladolid factory into one of the benchmarks with 73 points (gold level). At EDF Fenice, we have been part of that change. We have been and continue to be that Global Energy Partner, which hand in hand and in parallel has been certified with 9.001, 14.001, 18.001, and 50.001. We are responsible for modernizing the facilities that, at the start of the contract, became the property of EDF Fenice. In this way, we have, for example, completely replaced the compressor room, turning it into a much more efficient and reliable system; we have modernized the electrical, HVAC, and heating installations. We have also improved waste management by implementing selective collection at the source (the production lines), turning a problem into a source of income by selling plastics, wood, and cardboard, among others. A whole series of changes driven by the search for the best solution for Iveco’s new needs. Looking to the immediate future, our goal is to implement energy efficiency investments that allow both companies to grow, from replacing facilities with more efficient ones to installing solar panels that enable Iveco to benefit from self-consumption and reduce its carbon footprint.
