IRIS Technology, a lever towards decarbonization
The decarbonization process, in response to the global climate emergency, demands a new, more efficient energy model and optimal use of resources. Causing the least possible impact on the planet is now one of the corporate ambitions of leading organizations. In this sense, the digitalization of energy through energy management systems is a fundamental lever for companies to achieve their sustainability goals and reduce their carbon footprint.
For some years now, sustainability and continuous improvement in energy consumption efficiency have been highly relevant for many of our clients who needed to go further. Many began to set carbon footprint reduction targets with specific deadlines, and this led us to consider the need for a system that would allow us to measure, analyze, and control their energy processes to make improvement decisions. To meet this challenge, we developed an energy management platform that would enable companies to be more efficient and help them achieve their decarbonization goals.
Based on a tool using IDboxRT technology and our experience working with clients, we created IRIS, a unique and fully customizable IT/OT product. IRIS is an open system compatible with virtually any CMMS. Its architecture and technology allow for the design of intelligent variables and algorithms that facilitate customizing developments to suit each plant.
Using multiple field indicators, it enables real-time monitoring and data processing, tracking and predicting energy consumption, detecting anomalies, and generating and managing alarms. IRIS facilitates 24/7 facility management, reduces response times, and helps O&M technicians resolve issues on-site. It allows for anticipating risks and resolving complex situations, reducing both the number of breakdowns and resource downtime. IRIS enables agile reactions to any inefficiency, predictive maintenance, and enhanced facility safety.
The result is a real identification of energy efficiency measures and the savings potential of each process, facilitating appropriate decision-making for continuous improvement and reducing CO2 emissions in industrial plants.
Any new energy service we undertake inherently includes the integration of our IRIS energy management platform
In general terms, it can be said that all our projects pursue the same goal: maximizing the efficiency of our clients’ production processes. Depending not only on the type of industry we work with but also on each specific process, the challenges we face are very diverse and involve multiple parameters (different energy vectors, heterogeneous equipment, information sources to connect to…). Having an open and configurable platform like IRIS is key to successfully tackling each project.
