EDISON NEXT participates in the Energy Transition Seminar of Madrid Platform

EDISON NEXT, a specialist in Energy Efficiency and Photovoltaic Self-Consumption solutions for the industrial and tertiary sectors, is participating in the second edition of Madrid Platform, taking place from May 23 to 25 at the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid. This is an international business hub between Europe and Latin America that brings together the most renowned professionals from the business world. Specifically, the energy company addressed the keys to decarbonizing the Spanish business fabric at the international seminar on Energy Transition, organized by ANESE, in which Laura San Segundo, Head of Energy Management at Edison Next, participated. In this regard, achieving a fair energy transition supported by the decarbonization of the economy and sustainability is increasingly important. Therefore, ANESE aimed to delve deeper into these concepts through this Seminar on Energy Transition, which featured Carlos Ballesteros, Director of ANESE, as moderator. A session that emphasized how essential sustainable technologies are for decarbonizing the European economy and achieving a low-carbon society in all sectors (residential, tertiary, or industrial). Within the context of the metamorphosis and climate emergency we are experiencing, Laura San Segundo highlighted that the key at this point is to chart a very clear route or journey to decarbonization, establishing: short-, medium-, and long-term decarbonization objectives, as well as a decarbonization strategy aligned with the company’s needs. Furthermore, the Head of Energy Management at Edison Next emphasized the need to commit to the development of all technologies. That is, to foster a technological race in an environment of free competition. During the session, the different energy technologies available on the market were broken down, and the factors that could further drive decarbonization were analyzed—one of the main challenges facing society in general and the energy sector in particular in the fight against climate change.
