Edison Next and ABN Pipe Systems agree to develop a 1,425 kWp photovoltaic self-consumption project in Valladolid.
The installation is expected to deliver a 25% energy saving and a 28% economic saving from the first year, produce the equivalent of planting 1,677 trees, and prevent the emission of 508 tons of CO2 per year.
Edison Next, an energy services company and subsidiary of the Italian group leader in the energy market EDISON, has just agreed with ABN Pipe Systems, a company dedicated to the manufacture of piping systems and thermoplastic compounds, to develop a photovoltaic self-consumption project.
The installation, with a capacity of 1,425 KWp, will be located at the company’s production plant in the municipality of Medina del Campo (Valladolid). The plant, which will be built on the ground, will have 2,592 photovoltaic modules that will generate more than 1,536 MWh of clean energy per year. In addition, it will feature the most advanced technology, both in terms of solar panels and auxiliary components, as well as a monitoring system for the energy generated and self-consumed.
With this photovoltaic self-consumption project, an energy saving of 25% and an economic saving of 28% are estimated during the first year from the start of the installation. Likewise, during the contract period, it is calculated that a self-consumed energy volume of 23,034 MWh will be reached, which will mean total savings of more than 3 million euros. The energy produced by the new installation will be equivalent to planting 1,677 trees and will prevent the emission of 508 tons of CO2 per year into the atmosphere.
“The development of this photovoltaic self-consumption plant will bring a multitude of benefits for ABN, with effective savings from the start and an innovative model in which EDISON Next handles the installation from start to finish. From definition, monitoring and commissioning to the execution of preventive maintenance services, including progressive improvements to the installation,” explains Jon Macías, Commercial Director of Edison Next Spain.
