Edison Next, the company awarded the public lighting project for the municipality of Valdeolmos-Alalpardo.

In our commitment to leading the energy transition, Edison Next continues working with the administration of the municipality of Valdeolmos Alalpardo in the management and maintenance of public lighting, after securing the award of the public lighting project for this Madrid town. This commitment will allow us to continue transforming the population so that it remains on the path of sustainability and energy efficiency. Edison Next has been managing public lighting in this town since the year 2000, which currently consists of 1,062 light points. Specifically, the city council published the tender to replace 796 public lighting points, with the aim of replacing them with new LED technology luminaires. In addition to work on control panels and distribution lines to improve operating conditions. With an investment of more than €960,000 and a duration of 9 months, the project aims to achieve a 70% savings in energy consumption. At the same time, it will allow the municipality to reduce the emission of 41 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. A figure that, when added to those that the previous project had been reducing, Valdeolmos will avoid the emission of more than 240 tons of CO2. In this context, Edison Next is helping more than 40 cities reduce their energy consumption and achieve the ecological transition, thanks to the implementation and maintenance of more than 460,000 light points. With this type of project, the energy company has managed to avoid the emission of 42,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. All of this is combined with the management and use of cutting-edge technologies that play a fundamental role within Edison Next’s strategy to maximize the competitiveness and performance of its projects.
