Edison Next joins CESUR to drive business innovation and promote sustainable practices.
Edison Next, an energy services company and subsidiary of the EDISON energy group and the French giant EDF, has taken a step forward in its commitment to the territory where it operates by joining the Association of Entrepreneurs of Southern Spain (CESUR) with the aim of promoting sustainable practices and driving both innovation and energy efficiency in the business sector of southern Spain.
In this regard, according to a study presented by the United Nations Global Compact in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, which analyzes more than 2,500 Spanish companies, Andalusian companies are increasingly betting on carrying out actions related to the SDGs. In fact, 49% of the organizations surveyed state that integrating sustainability and the SDGs is essential for developing products and services, as well as for achieving positive economic results in the company.
Therefore, on behalf of Edison Next, Manuel Barrera, Solar PV Manager & South Area Sales Manager, has signed this agreement through which both entities promote economic actions and establish joint lines of collaboration that foster employment development and sustainability.
CESUR is an association made up of more than 200 companies and 400 entrepreneurs and executives from southern Spain, whose objective is to energize the business, social, and economic fabric through actions that promote and improve the economic conditions of entrepreneurs, generating employment and wealth throughout the region.
In the words of Fernando Seco, founder and executive vice president of CESUR: “From the entity, as a promoter of the well-being of Andalusian companies, we are betting on strategies that make sustainability compatible with the economic objectives of organizations. Likewise, we work with the goal of listening to the daily needs of entrepreneurs in order to be able to provide them with solutions. Having Edison Next will strengthen the business muscle and place efficiency and sustainability at the epicenter of all actions.”
Among the most notable conclusions of the alliance between Edison Next and CESUR is leading the change towards a more efficient economic model, allowing companies in the south to grow and benefit from measures based on energy efficiency and sustainability criteria to achieve decarbonization by 2025 and independence from fossil fuels by 2030.
From Edison Next, Manuel Barrera, Solar PV Manager & South Area Sales Manager, states that “this union represents a significant step towards the strategic creation of initiatives that strengthen the business fabric and generate employment in the region. Our goal is to drive business innovation through tangible practices that foster sustainability and competitiveness for companies. To this end, at Edison Next we have the expertise and the most suitable technology to help organizations accelerate the transition towards a decarbonized energy industry.”
As the business sector seeks sustainable and efficient solutions, the union between entities is essential to maximize productivity and act for the benefit of all stakeholders. With this project, Edison Next continues on its path to position itself as a key strategic ally in implementing high-value-added solutions, achieving human comfort and minimizing environmental impact. A collaboration that promotes a more sustainable economy and guarantees a greener future for Andalusian society as a whole.
