Edison Next develops a photovoltaic project worth 348,297 euros in Alcalá de Guadaira.

Edison Next, an energy services company and subsidiary of the EDISON energy group and the French giant EDF, has been selected by the Delegated Management of the Metropolitan Water Supply and Sanitation Company of Seville (EMASESA) to carry out a photovoltaic project in Andalusia with an investment of €348,297.18 to boost renewable energy capacity in the region. The 350kW project, which is being developed at the Adufe complex, facilities owned by the Andalusian company in Alcalá de Guadaíra, represents a key commitment in EMASESA’s renewable energy strategy, as well as a step towards decarbonization and energy autonomy. Specifically, Edison Next will be responsible for carrying out the construction project, managing permits, executing the works, as well as operating and maintaining the solar photovoltaic installation for the complex’s self-consumption. Through this initiative, EMASESA will optimize its energy resources, also achieving significant long-term economic savings, and will contribute to an annual saving of 559 MWh of electricity and 139.8 tons of CO2 carbon emissions in Andalusia. According to the terms stipulated in the agreement, an 11-month period has been established for the energy company to complete all necessary stages for the successful execution of the project. This includes everything from the initial processing phase, which covers obtaining the relevant permits and authorizations, to the physical execution of the installations and the subsequent commissioning of the service. Additionally, Edison Next, as an integral part of its commitment to quality and sustainability, will be responsible for the maintenance of the photovoltaic installation for the next 3 years. This ongoing service will ensure the optimal operation of the plant over time, maximizing its profitability and efficiency. With a proactive approach to problem prevention and regular maintenance, Edison Next ensures that the photovoltaic plant operates optimally, thus providing a reliable and lasting source of renewable energy. In the words of Ángel García, delegate in the Seville area of Edison Next Spain, “we are pleased to see how the public sector continues to increase its commitment to energy solutions that generate considerable benefits both for themselves and for the surrounding environment. We are convinced that this trend will continue in the future, with a growing number of public entities adopting advanced energy technologies to benefit our communities and preserve the environment.”
