Castellbisbal trusts Edison Next again to continue promoting sustainability in the Vallés Occidental region.

Following the success of the renovation and modernization initiative for the outdoor public lighting in the urban center of Castellbisbal, implemented by Edison a few months ago, the city council decided to continue advancing in energy management to optimize efficiency in this Catalan municipality. In this context, the Castellbisbal City Council has awarded Edison Next a new initiative, which includes the execution of general maintenance services for the municipal sports complex “L’Illa Esportiva de Castellbisbal.” This sports facility, directly managed by the Castellbisbal City Council through its Sports Department, represents a meeting place for sports enthusiasts in the area. The sports complex has top-level facilities, both outdoors and indoors, including: an artificial turf field, an uncovered outdoor multi-sport court, tennis courts, a fronton, a locker room building, summer and indoor swimming pools, a sauna, etc. The maintenance service contract aims to facilitate for all subscribers, users, and local sports organizations the practice of sports in the facilities that make up this complex, under the best conditions of preservation and comfort, as well as the normal development of all programs and activities. To achieve this, Edison Next will have a budget of 600,697 euros over a two-year period to ensure the optimal operation of all facilities, machinery, and systems inherent to this award. Furthermore, one of our priorities will be to carry out systematic and planned operations that ensure service continuity and help delay, as much as possible, the deterioration caused by the different equipment and systems. Finally, in line with our strong commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, at Edison Next we will implement innovative practices and technologies that, in addition to complying with all electrical, thermal, HVAC, and pool maintenance regulations, also minimize energy consumption and reduce environmental impact. This involves adopting innovative and sustainable solutions, such as optimizing HVAC systems and implementing efficient water management measures. At every step, we will seek not only to meet the required standards but also to exceed expectations by setting new benchmarks of excellence in sustainability and energy efficiency. Our goal is to drive positive change toward a greener and more sustainable future, where municipal facilities are not only places for exercise and entertainment but also inspiring examples of responsible and environmentally friendly practices.
