Edison Next announces the acquisition of Consistrol.

Edison Next, an energy services company and subsidiary of the EDISON energy group and the French giant EDF, announces the acquisition of Consistrol, a company specialized in control systems for the tertiary and industrial sectors. This agreement represents a significant step in Edison Next’s expansion in the Spanish market and strengthens its position as a leading company in decarbonization. The acquisition of Consistrol reinforces Edison Next’s commitment to operational excellence and service quality by integrating the expertise and technology of a leading company in Building Management Systems (BMS) and industrial control systems. Founded by José Álvarez, with over 15 years of experience, Consistrol brings a solid market reputation, with reference clients in sectors such as healthcare, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, education, and data centers, as well as a strategic relationship with top-tier suppliers and manufacturers. “We are delighted to welcome Consistrol to the Edison Next family,” said Íñigo Bertrand, CEO of Edison Next Spain. “This acquisition not only strengthens our presence in the Spanish market but also positions us to offer even more innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients.” The integration of Consistrol into Edison Next is part of the Strategic Plan, which includes investments of 2.5 billion euros, boosting EBITDA to 300 million euros, reflecting the commitment to sustainability and competitiveness in the business sector and public administration. The transaction represents an important step for Edison Next, as it allows the company to expand its offering to clients, combining decarbonization solutions to simultaneously reduce their energy bills and carbon footprint. Focus on leading decarbonization in Spain Since its arrival in Spain in 2022, Edison Next has aimed to drive decarbonization through specialized energy solutions for the industrial, public, and tertiary sectors, supporting companies and cities in their ecological transition. The proposal that Edison Next offers its clients optimally combines energy efficiency, renewable energies, and circular economy, including technologies such as biomethane, carbon capture, green hydrogen, photovoltaics, and water recovery. Similarly, Edison Next holds the title of delegated entity, meaning that as an accredited entity, it has the authority to generate Energy Savings Certificates, an excellent incentive for projects that demonstrate final energy savings. This allows companies and public administrations to monetize the savings generated simply and quickly. “In a context where energy efficiency and reducing dependence on external sources are key objectives, we offer a variety of solutions that allow companies and institutions to generate and consume their own energy efficiently and sustainably,” said Jon Macías, Commercial Director of Edison Next Spain.
