EDF Fenice and Optimiza Energía share their solutions and strategies at the energy transition forum.

Energy efficiency, decarbonization, distributed generation, and the promotion of renewables take center stage at the event EDF Fenice, a specialist in Energy Efficiency and Photovoltaic Self-Consumption solutions for the industrial and tertiary sectors, and Optimiza Energía, a consultancy specializing in the analysis of energy market data, will be present at the Energy Transition Forum organized by the Rotary Club on November 18 at the Palacio de los Marqueses de Vivel in Vall d’Uixó, Castellón, in collaboration with El Mundo Castellón al Día. Energy efficiency, decarbonization, distributed generation, and the promotion of the renewable energy market will feature prominently at the event, at a time when the energy transition, sustainability, and digitalization are gaining prominence. To address the decarbonization goals of the industrial sector, EDF Fenice proposes a strategy based on 4D+C energy: Digital, Decarbonized, Distributed, and Democratized, but also Competitive for companies. According to Íñigo Bertrand, CEO of EDF Fenice, this presents a dual challenge. On one hand, considering the most cost-effective energy solutions that are technologically mature and have a significant impact on reducing the carbon footprint. On the other, ensuring they comply with regulations, the economy itself, and market viability before being implemented.

The CEO of Optimiza Energía, José Vicente Enguídanos, will address at the meeting the current market situation and the various products that will allow industry to fix a percentage of the energy price it demands, regardless of market volatility. Especially at a time when the business sector is seeking ways to cope with this situation of uncertainty, which is resulting in an increase in energy costs and a consequent decline in productivity. “Identifying the best products, based on interpreting market data and customer consumption, is one of the keys to reducing energy costs. Establishing the right mix in the medium and long term is part of the strategy we propose to companies to achieve the established cost objectives,” concludes the executive. The rise in electricity prices in European electricity markets directly affects large consumers, who are turning to new forms of contracting and, especially, to the design of energy strategies in the short, medium, and long term. Therefore, the executive will focus his intervention on highlighting the different types of photovoltaic self-consumption available, the types of solar PPAs, and specific contracting products. A whole series of visions and perspectives from the main market players, who will discuss the opportunities and challenges offered by renewable energies and energy efficiency, at a time when Spanish companies must ensure the continuity of their production in a very complex energy environment.
