Edison Next executes a dual photovoltaic project

Edison Next leads the energy sector in Europe with a net installed capacity of 6.5 GW and aims to reach 5 GW of installed renewable energy capacity over the next eight years. In line with its commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of industrial activity and decarbonization, the company has launched an ambitious expansion plan in Spain to develop the photovoltaic sector. Among its comprehensive photovoltaic self-consumption solutions for companies and entities in the industrial, tertiary, and public sectors, the dual photovoltaic project at IVECO facilities in Madrid and Valladolid stands out. IVECO is a leader in the manufacturing and marketing of commercial vehicles. Both installations have an installed capacity of over 1.3 MWp and feature 2,366 and 2,380 modules of 550 Wp respectively, with an estimated solar production of more than 1,800 MWh per year. To carry out these projects, Edison Next Spain has opted for the PPA service model, which allows it to handle the investment and maintenance, while the client acquires an energy purchase service at a known price for years. Additionally, the company provides a multisite management system for the proper execution of both photovoltaic projects and the monitoring of both the energy generated and consumed at each plant.
