The new PERTE calls pave the way toward a sustainable future.
The Government has announced new calls for the Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE), covering key fields such as electric vehicles, the circular economy, and industrial
decarbonization. Since their creation a couple of years ago, these initiatives have represented a great opportunity for eurozone countries to promote a more sustainable and efficient economic model.
At Edison Next, to facilitate the transition towards a more responsible economic and industrial activity, we are committed to implementing innovative solutions aligned with the objectives of these PERTE.
Firstly, the industrial decarbonization PERTE is one of the main areas that will receive support, with an allocation of over 1,000 million euros earmarked for projects that help decarbonize the industrial sector and develop new, highly efficient and decarbonized manufacturing facilities. At Edison Next, we have been actively involved in this effort for years, providing solutions such as energy efficiency projects, renewable self-consumption, and circular economy initiatives. Through these initiatives, we not only help our clients meet their sustainability goals, but also, in many cases, improve their competitiveness and operations, resulting in considerable energy and economic savings.
On the other hand, the VEC PERTE favors the transition of the mobility model towards a less polluting one. In total, the third edition of the VEC PERTE will have a budget of 500 million euros aimed at strengthening the value chain of the electric and connected vehicle. This year, at Edison Next, we have taken on the commitment and responsibility to offer comprehensive solutions for the electrification of transport, ranging from charging infrastructure to the integration of advanced energy management systems. We are convinced that, through our work and actions, we will facilitate the transition towards more sustainable and efficient mobility.
Finally, the Circular Economy PERTE will facilitate the financing of projects aimed at reducing raw material consumption and improving waste management. The circular economy is crucial because it promotes a sustainable economic system that minimizes waste and maximizes the reuse of resources. Instead of following the traditional linear production and consumption model, the circular economy focuses on keeping products, materials, and resources in use for as long as possible, thereby reducing environmental impact and fostering more efficient resource management.
At Edison Next, we support these principles by offering industries and companies solutions based on different technologies such as biogas with the option of upgrading to biomethane, and advanced water treatment solutions, always seeking the technology that best suits our clients’ processes. These solutions not only help reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency, but also contribute to creating a more sustainable resource cycle, aligning with global decarbonization and environmental protection goals.
The updating of the PERTE and the increasingly common new financing opportunities being promoted by government institutions underscore the importance of having a reliable and experienced energy partner.
At Edison Next, we not only provide the technologies and solutions necessary for the energy transition, but also offer advice and support in obtaining funds and grants. We are prepared to help our clients in this transition, providing them with customized solutions that address the specific needs of each sector and contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable, and more efficient future.
