Edison Next, an energy services company and subsidiary of the EDISON energy group and the French giant EDF, has joined the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) as a partner with the aim of helping companies and public entities in their ecological transition and commitment to decarbonization.
Two years after its establishment in Spain, the energy company has an ambitious investment plan of 2.5 billion euros by 2030, of which 300 million will be allocated to the Spanish energy services sector, thus consolidating its commitment to the country’s sustainable development and playing a leading role in the ecological transition.
With a proven track record in decarbonization solutions and a deep-rooted commitment to sustainability, Edison Next Spain is embarking on a strategic collaboration with the CEOE and its member companies. This alliance represents a unique opportunity to join forces with the Spanish business community to move towards a more sustainable and competitive economy.
In this regard, Edison Next Spain contributes its expertise in decarbonization and environmental solutions, working closely with other member companies to develop and implement strategies that drive energy efficiency and sustainability in Spain. This collaborative approach reflects the energy specialist’s commitment to responsible growth and a continuous commitment to sustainable innovation, thus laying the foundations for a more resilient business future committed to the environment.
Iñigo Bertrand, CEO of Edison Next Spain, highlighted that “this membership represents an important step in our commitment to lead Spain’s transition towards a more sustainable future. We are confident that our collaboration with the CEOE and its member companies will help drive innovative and effective initiatives to address the challenge of decarbonization in the business and public spheres.”
For his part, the Director of Companies and Organizations at CEOE, Javier Calderón, welcomed Edison Next and highlighted “the important work of this company in the field of decarbonization, a key issue for the future and competitiveness of the business fabric of our country.” “We open the door of the house of Spanish companies for you to join us on this path of energy transition,” he stated.

Committed to accompanying its clients on their path to decarbonization, Edison Next begins this journey with a thorough analysis of their carbon footprint, establishing shared goals, and designing and implementing customized solutions tailored to each client’s specific needs.
Similarly, it targets public administrations with energy services for buildings (schools, hospitals, sports centers, or other institutional buildings) and urban regeneration solutions, aiming to support the sustainable development of territories and improve the quality of life for their citizens.
For all these reasons, the incorporation of Edison Next Spain into the CEOE represents a significant step in promoting the decarbonization of the Spanish public and business sector, aligning with the objectives of the European Union and actively contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions in Spain.
