Today, April 28, the International Labour Organization celebrates World Day for Safety and Health at Work, a date that reminds us of the importance of ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all workers, as well as raising awareness about the prevention of workplace accidents and occupational diseases. Last year, moreover, the International Labour Conference (ILC) decided to include “a safe and healthy working environment” in the ILO’s framework of fundamental principles and rights at work.
